In recent years the Port of Bilbao Authority has made a firm commitment to developing new infrastructures and providing new spaces. This commitment is complemented by the effort to improve our land communications which will allow expansion of our hinterland, and by the provision of telematics tools to enable more efficient and transparent exploitation of our infrastructures.
And all this in the interests of achieving optimum competitive positioning of the Port and the port companies.
That is to say, our commitment is centred on achieving a port that runs smoothly, is competitive and equipped with the necessary infrastructure and infostructure to satisfy the needs of all types of traffics, and especially those requiring great coordination and speed, as is the case of containers or European short sea traffic, including motorways of the sea.
