Here the focus is on the e-puertobilbao platform providing a one-stop telematic window service that allows users, in a remote and unified manner, to carry out the administrative processing required for the declaration of goods in import (Summary Declaration-import manifest) and export (export cargo manifest) operations.

The service is aimed at shipping agents and integrates the Port Authority of Bilbao and the Customs Office at Bilbao into one procedure only, by managing the traffic of information among these agents in a totally transparent way.

Likewise, it channels certain information towards other agents such as the Invoicing Department and Customs Agents indirectly involved in the processing with a view to enabling the information flow towards the other processes and actors in the port logistics chain.

This service exploits the advantages of the concept of the one-stop electronic window in all its amplitude, in that it allows the sending and processing of import and export cargo manifest the very moment the information is available (for example, when sailing from the last port of loading) without bearing in mind any timetable restrictions whatsoever.

This supposes that information on the goods is transmitted to the Port and to Customs in one electronic clearance only, which in conjunction with the paper-free Customs Clearance, allows fully automated goods transit through the Port of Bilbao without the need to present any documents at all.
